THE ART OF QIGONG (Every Tuesday and Friday)

THE ART OF QIGONG (Every Tuesday and Friday)

~With Wayne Chenault

Tuition: $8

Level: Open to All Levels

The art of Qigong can been seen as "the art of being". Aside from its many long lasting benefits physically, emotionally, and spiritually, it brings a sense of play and joy into your life. You will learn to use your consciousness, breath, posture and movement to affect the flow of energy within your system. As you balance the energy in your system, you balance your emotions and the way you relate to the environment. You learn to act with sensitivity and flexibility in your personal relationships, being gentler with yourself and others. You act, rather than react; expanding your awareness of your own being, and personal power. It promotes and increases the ability to be in the moment, to be more present and vital in the world. The systematic and proper use of the breath allows you to bring about a relaxed state of body and mind at will... strengthening your immune system, increasing blood and lymphatic circulation, improving digestion, sleep, and increasing muscular strength. Qigong is a dance, a play, a powerful instrument of self-healing, and a way of developing yourself as a personal work of art.

Moku hanga is the Japanese term for woodblock print (moku means wood and hanga means print).
